Sutherlin - Cardia

Died at her residence, after a long and painful illness, Mrs. Cardia, wife of Dr. JF Sutherlin, died on Saturday evening about 7 o'clock of cancer of the stomach having been prostrated for several months. She was 32 years old and was an earnest Christian lady, having been a member of the Ladoga Presbyterian Church ever since its organization. She leaves a heart broken husband and three children and a numnber of war friends in Ladoga and a father and mother and a great many friends in Lebanon. where her remains were taken Sunday starting from the residence at 2 o'clock p.m. accompanied by a good many sisters of Rebeckah Lodge of which she was a member. Mr. Moore, superintendet of the Midland RR lent a special train from Lebanon to convey the remains, the family and many friends which accompanied them. - kbz
